Diane Farina White

President/CEO

Since August 2011, Diane has served as President/CEO of CSS. She brings over 30 years of nonprofit leadership to CSS. Her experience not only encompasses over 18 years of working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, but also a broad knowledge and experience based in education, domestic violence, mental health, and healthcare topics. Diane currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Public Policy for People with Disabilities to help improve the quality of programs and services throughout Illinois. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from Northern Illinois University and has a Master of Arts in Human Services from Concordia University.

Michele Perry

Chief Financial Officer

Michele has been with CSS since March 2017. She brings over 15 years of nonprofit financial management experience as well as eight years in the for-profit world. Her former organizations include such major companies such as BP America, BMO Harris Bank, Howard Brown Health Center, and Forefront, formerly known as Donors Forum. Michele is responsible for financial oversight of CSS’ eight-million-dollar budget and its 11 owned and operated facilities. This includes oversight of a variety of public and private funding streams. Michele holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Accounting from Clark Atlanta University.

Yvette Williams

Vice President of Programs

Yvette has been at CSS since March 2023. She has served in social services for more than 20 years demonstrating compassion, advocacy, and a willingness to servant leadership.  Her areas of expertise include, but is not limited to assisting families in stabilization, home based services, guardianship, court advocacy, and financial literacy.  Yvette is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago with a BS in Criminal Justice and a Master of Jurisprudence in Child and Family Law from Loyola University Chicago Law School. Yvette’s professional commitment includes serving the needs of children, families, and individuals.

Susanna Decker

Vice President of Development and Marketing

Susanna has been at CSS since December 2022. She brings over 30 years of development and marketing experience to CSS. Susanna takes a comprehensive view of the overall annual development plan, making sure there is a balance throughout all aspects of an organization’s development program, from special events to annual appeals and major gift solicitations.  She holds a BA from Purdue University.

Sherita Burton

Director of Human Resources

Sherita serves as the Director of Human Resources and has been with CSS since 2006. She has held many roles within the Human Resources department during her time at CSS. Her responsibilities include hiring, managing, training, and coordinating CSS’ staff of over 150 employees. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management from DePaul University and a certificate in Non-Profit Human Resources from the University of Notre Dame.

Becky Johnson

Director of Operations

Becky has been with CSS since September of 2006 and currently holds the position of Director of Operations. She comes to the organization with over 20 years of administrative experience. Becky ensures that the operations of CSS runs smoothly by overseeing facilities, technology, supplies, volunteers and administrative staff. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Drake University and a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership Excellence.
