Community Support Services delivers solutions for (1) adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, (2) children with intellectual/developmental disabilities, and (3) families of people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. While some of our participants are self-sufficient and have the capacity to live and work alone, others require continuous care and attention. The needs of their families vary as well. Our services are designed to meet the needs of those across the spectrum, fostering independence and reinforcing our core values: respect the dignity, rights and self-determination of each person.
Many of our services require funding from the state of Illinois. Please email intake@cssservices.org for more information.
As part of the West Cook Coalition (WCC), Community Support Services receives funding through the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) as part of the Healthcare Transformation Collaborative. Through this coalition, CSS employs a Community Healthcare Worker to support individuals with an intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD) and their family. The Community Healthcare Worker will advocate, make referrals, and support individuals with an I/DD and their family in all areas of healthcare including medical, dental, and psychiatric care. Individuals with an I/DD are eligible for these free services if you reside within the designated service area. For more information and to see if you qualify, click here.
