Community Day Services
Community Day Services – offers adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) activities where they choose meaningful ways to spend their day. Some activities include structured volunteer work; creative classes in art, music and dance; activities of daily living; health and wellness classes; group exercise; classes structured around developing job skills and job searching; etc. Locations include CSS’ Family Support Center (FSC) in Cicero, CSS Academy in Brookfield, and various community locations.
Locations: The Family Support Center (FSC) in Cicero and CSS Academy in Bookfield are intimate settings perfect for individuals who benefit from smaller groups, with more individualized attention and/or those with specific behavioral needs. At the Cicero location, there are also English and Spanish speaking staff to communicate with parents/guardians whose first language is Spanish. The programs are based out of each of the facilities, with community-based activities available. This is not a drop-in program. Participation must be scheduled in advance.
