Community Support Services’ new day program – Community360 – offers adults with I/DD both center-
and community-based activities where individuals can choose meaningful ways to spend their day. Some of these activities include: structured volunteer work; creative classes in art, music and dance; activities of daily living; health and wellness classes; group exercise; classes structured around developing job skills and job searching; etc. The site in Cicero that we have chosen for our day program is smaller than other more traditional large day programs in the area. This gives us the ability to be more specialized and able to better support people who will benefit from smaller groups, including those who benefit from more individualized attention because of their diagnoses and/or behavioral needs. Additionally, this location has a number of bilingual English/Spanish speaking staff, so we are able to communicate with parents/guardians whose first language is Spanish. Interested individuals can complete an intake application at: http://cssservices.org/intake or call 1-708-354-4547 ext. 142.
